The Records Division personnel are generally the public's first point of contact at the Justice Center for dealing in person with department related business matters.  The office is available to provide customer service to the public Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

The Patrol Records staff is comprised of one Sergeant and seven Clerks.  Their primary function in support of the Patrol Division is physical and electronic processing of investigative reports, which is accomplished in accordance with local, state and national guidelines.  The Patrol Records Clerks also serve in a support capacity to other divisions within the Sheriff's Office, as well as providing assistance to the prosecutor's office, the courts, other law enforcement agencies, public and governmental entities.  Records Sergeant Linda Finley is responsible for providing monthly statistics for the FBI Uniform Crime Report and overseeing the daily functions of the Records Division.

Additional duties of the Records Division include:
  • Processing public disclosure requests,
  • Issuing concealed pistol license applications and visa letters,
  • Issuing dangerous and potentially dangerous dog permits,
  • Receiving monies and paperwork for small claims, and
  • Providing forms and informational materials to the public
Additional Information:
One of the seven clerks within the Patrol Records Division is dedicated solely to the management of patrol evidence.  The Sheriff's Office evidence unit is self contained and provides safe and secure storage for all items of evidence or property that is seized within the duties of the deputies.  A full time Evidence Technician is responsible for providing the organization and accountability necessary for evidence to retain its credibility.
